About Adrian Howes Photography

In 2012, I started chemotherapy for testicular cancer. After my recovery, I needed something else to think about. I started taking pictures at my rugby club which proved popular, I was then lucky enough to be given the chance to photograph a local running race after their photographer failed to show up, and it went from there. I'm now lucky to cover two things I love: sport and photography.

Sport has always been a large part of my life, from cycle racing, table tennis and rugby to name a few. I played rugby for over 25 years and have some great memories and friends from this. I'm still involved with sport and enjoy watching the events that I cover.

​

Sport can be great fun and a fantastic personal challenge, whichever event you take part in. Knowing I have taken that great shot of you can make my day and hopefully give you a great memento of your efforts.

I've won the Northamptonshire Sports photo of the year twice in consecutive years before the award ended.

​

2023 saw me go international, covering a 5 day ultra marathon around the Himalyas in Nepal.

​

Now and again I do a little wildlife photography in my spare time including a couple of trips to South Africa in 2022 and 2024.

​

If you have an awards and presentation evening, I can cover that, having previously been photographer with Princess Anne three times at such events over the years.

​

I'm DBS checked and have full liability insurance cover. I use a Nikon Z9, along with a Nikon Z7ii, which are both top of the range, professional cameras, along with matching Z lenses.

​

I also work full time. If you would like to me to attend an event, please let me know in advance so that I can organise the time off.
